Start Electric Service

To start or begin electric service, please come to
331 South Brindlee Mountain Parkway, Arab, AL 35016.

We will need the following information:

Driver’s License or 2 forms of ID
911 Address (physical and mailing)
Contact Information as well as a friend or relative that can contact you
Proof of property ownership or lease agreement
Residential – Pay Membership $5.00 (if not already a member), Deposit $150 and connect fee $25.00
Commercial – Pay Membership $5.00 (if not already a member), Deposit (2 times the highest bill in 12 month history) and connect fee $25.00

Stop Electric Service

In order to stop your electric service please call AEC at 256-586-3196.

Transfer Electric Service

If you are transferring your electric service………

To transfer an electric service (moving from one AEC location to another AEC location), please come to
331 South Brindlee Mountain Parkway, Arab, AL 35016.

We will need the following information:

Account will need to be paid to current
Driver’s License or 2 forms of ID
911 Address (physical and mailing)
Contact Information as well as a friend or relative that can contact you
Proof of property ownership or lease agreement
Residential – Pay Connect Fee $25 if you move within a 10 day period, if you need service in both locations for longer than 10 days you will need to pay Deposit $150
Commercial – Pay Connect Fee $25 if you move within a 10 day period, if you need service in both locations for longer than 10 days you will need to pay a new deposit (2 times the highest bill in 12 month history for new location). On commercial deposits we will also look at your current deposit amount to verify that it is what you need for the new location (could be raised or decreased depending on 12 month history).
